• If you encounter a challenge in training your dog, sometimes it helps to take a step back and figure out another approach. For example – Quick just didn’t understand recalling over a jump. He couldn’t figure out he was supposed to jump the bar, not knock it off with his furry chest (his mane is so fluffy it’s probably like wearing a pillow.) However, once I re-introduced the jump to him by keeping him by my side as we approached a low jump and jumping it myself, he got it, and we moved right on to wrapping exercises with no trouble. He got it!
