This month’s contest is awesome, with the sweetest prize yet! The prize is a breyer agility set- the cutest toy set ever, complete with a toy collie! Whenever we take the set to shows, people ask us if we have them. We didn’t, for the longest time, and now we’re sold out again (maybe forever!), except for this set I snagged for you guys! Enter to win! (I’m sorry, but if you win it will be more like a New-Year’s Gift… but still! A gift is a gift! )
This months’ contest question is – What did you get your dog for Christmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate)? Did you get them agility things? (Quick asked for Hoopers Hoops of his own. Nova wants more treats and another game! She loves the life of a retiree!)
ETA: Oh wow, we’ve completely sold out of Breyer kits! Hope we get more in soon!
Entries are accepted until the end of the month. The winner will be selected via random number generator. The posts on facebook are added to the posts here.
Congratulations, SUSAN! You won! This contest is now closed, but stay tuned for another contest coming up soon!

We didn’t get her any agility equipment (we have no place to put it!) but we did get her things to get her brain going. We got her one of the IQ games (just the basic “Magic” one — we’ll see how she does with that!). And we got her some new tug toys. We use the tug a LOT in agility classes to get her more amped up and ready to work, so an exciting new toy is a must!
December 6th, 2010 at 10:38 am
my dog angel wants treats and another one of her faveriot toy ducks!! and my dog ramsey want agilty weave poles and a tire jump!!!!!!!
December 6th, 2010 at 11:18 am
We’ll be getting surprize gifts (toys or treats)at the annual doggie gift exchange at our dog club. We bought two of our Aussies new dog beds for sleeping in our bedroom. The third Aussie gets treats and to sleep wherever she wants.
December 6th, 2010 at 12:38 pm
I bought Tibby a new treat ball, a TDAA jump, 6 TDAA weave poles, a mini teeter and a wobble board, 2 new leashes, a fish tug toy and Cowboy Magic conditioner. Plus tons of treats!
Most of that is really for me though *wink* Tibby only cares about the toys and treats! Someday I hope she likes the agility stuff. Looking at this list I guess I have to say she is a spoiled puppy! But worth every penny!
December 6th, 2010 at 2:30 pm
My girl got a new bed for the living room and is getting 2 more of her favorite plush toys that are made tough and have proven to be very difficult for her to “field dress”. (It seems her mission is to gut and take out the noise maker in every plush toy she receives-some only take 5 minutes to destroy–so we usually do not give her plush toys, but we still get them from others as gifts.) She already has 2 “brain games” I bought during the rainy winter we had last year. I plan to make her a practice dog walk this winter to add to our agility equipment.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
December 6th, 2010 at 3:37 pm
I have several dog . They have a toy box full of toys. My dogs have jackets and beds. We own equipment for the performance sports we trial in. So this year my dogs are going to go down to the animal shelter and give them of toys and bedding. Also the rescue group I invould with is opening there new facility so I sure we will be donating to that to. My dogs have so much they really don’t need anything so we are planning on giving to animals that do.

Lucky is a Jewish agility dog. Last year, we adopted her right around Hanukkah. She was very stressed when she came home, and chewed EVERYTHING–even the super strong toys. But my brother’s friend got her this little, plush piggy reading, “TRAYF”, which means not Kosher. We expected this toy to die right away, and she still has it! The piggy is Lucky’s favorite toy, and all she does is suck on its head. So, this year Lucky got a plush blue bone, reading “KOSHER”. She loves it almost as much as the piggy! I would have liked to get her agility equipment, but we are still saving to get a tetter and a set of weave poles.
December 7th, 2010 at 1:30 pm
Penny is getting the Nina Ottosson brick game and a custom-made tug toy with bunny fur, squeaker, a treat pocket, and a bungee handle.
December 7th, 2010 at 9:02 pm
I haven’t gotten my 2 11 yr olds agility equipment because when I tried them at agility with a trainer, they became butts and wouldn’t settle down to do anything! lol However my Sheltie is quite good at it and as soon as I move,I will concentrate on doing just that!
December 7th, 2010 at 10:11 pm
My dog will be getting a new slip lead, water bowl for her crate, training treats, teeter (eventually), and hopefully a camera to take decent pictures of her in action on the agility course!
December 8th, 2010 at 3:07 pm
I keep thinking I’ll get one of ‘find the treat’ games. But with two dogs not sure how that might work. Am sure the corgi would go for it, but not sure about the Scotty. In any case the corgi will get a new chew toy with squeaker (which should last at least an hour or two before it gets disemboweled). For the Scotty, a new larger dog dish. And maybe a new leash, as the old ones are kinda faded. The only agility equipment we could use might be the contact trainer as we don’t have enough room for a true A frame or dog walk.
December 8th, 2010 at 8:34 pm
I am making my Standard Poodle, Samson, a dog toy out of old jeans, scrap fleece, and a squeaker out of a “dead toy.” Samson will also get dog treats. And he will get to do his favorite thing besides agility, opening presents! He needs no egging on. You just give him permission and the next thing you know, the paper is flying! Samson and his brother, Hobie, (my sister’s dog) love to play in the snow. (And eat it!) So their Christmas wish would probably be a deep Deep DEep DEEp DEEP! white Christmas! (Mine too!)
December 10th, 2010 at 12:57 pm
Happy Holidays to everyone and their dogs from our house to yours!! For Christmas this year my three dogs will be getting new jackets, toys and home made treats, as well as their dreaded baths!! Our biggest wish from Santa would be the dog walk. But most of all we wish for health, warmth and the anticipation of spring and the agility coarse.
December 10th, 2010 at 1:15 pm
Mattie says she wants an a-frame and dogwalk for Christmas. Being a bichon she is height challenged and likes to perch on top and look around, Hidden says she wants a nice soft bed to nap on, and of course they both want lots of treats!!
December 10th, 2010 at 2:56 pm
We bought a stopwatch for BooBoo. She is a small Maltese who loves to race around. We are going to start timing her as she races through my daughter’s obstacle course.
December 10th, 2010 at 3:12 pm
William the Sheltie gets to celebrate Chanukah and Christmas, since we are a mixed family. (His favorite holiday is Thanksgiving, because he goes to “Grandma’s” house where he gets his own plate of turkey and pumpkin…and then asks me for bites of MY turkey.) For Chanukah, I baked him a batch of his favorite cheese biscuits and put a charm on his collar that says, “best friend.” (He was more impressed with the biscuits.) William cannot eat latkes, since they have onion in them, so he feels Thanksgiving is a vastly superior day.
I will bake him either peanut butter or pumpkin cookies.
For Christmas, we will go to Grandma’s again and this time, I will make lasagna for everyone. William will, of course, get some shreds of cheese.
Of course, we always go on a nice hike on holidays and have plenty of play time. (William loves to pretend I am a sheep and herd me.) Weather permitting, we are going on a short vacation between Christmas and New Year, to a place where we can hike along the ocean or up into the pines. (We are in California.) We will let my husband go along on the hikes and the vacation so he gets exercise, too!
December 10th, 2010 at 4:04 pm
Gigi has asked for a trial and we have one right after Christmas. We will be trialing New Years eve. What a way to bring in the new year……………..
December 10th, 2010 at 4:10 pm
ME!!!! lol besides that RAW food treats, treats in general, playing in the snow….too many to list!! And a agility trial this weekend
December 10th, 2010 at 4:14 pm
My pack is getting two Nina Ottosson toys, some chewies and a set of utility articles. If they are very good, they may even get a spiffy new set of 24″ weave poles!
December 10th, 2010 at 5:36 pm
I have not ordered just for my two dogs but have ordered for our whole agility class. We have ordered a Window Jump and Crawl Tunnel so that they will learn new things. We are all looking forward to these starting 1/1/2011, dogs especially (Cody, Possum, Poocher and their coach Sammy a maltese who runs around the course with them and to the finish for a treat.

For my dogs sake I ordered a new agility training book with lots of pictures showing handling techniques for which they will thank me. Then a new sweater for my dog that doesn’t mind walking in 35 degree weather. For their stockings, lots of treats to be hidden in different kinds of kong type things for the times I am gone for 5 hours at a time. We have agility aquipment that we use in the house for the winter months that I set up after Christmas. Lots of playtime all the time!
December 10th, 2010 at 8:36 pm
Our BC puppy will be getting a slip lead in preparation for starting agility classes, and we’re guessing she would like a lifetime supply of bully sticks. Our adult BC is practically perfect & needs nothing but always loves any type of new toy …. maybe he will get one of the brain games. A competition tire jump is also on our “want” list.
December 10th, 2010 at 9:27 pm
My pups are getting new fleece crate pads, treats and some new toys.
December 10th, 2010 at 10:29 pm
Jiggy says I asked my owner for a agility tunnel or a chute or Oh heck how about both. I am such a tunnel sucker and I have been a very good dog this year.
December 10th, 2010 at 10:40 pm
My dogs love treats for any occasion; it doesn’t even have to be a special occasion! So they will probably be getting some special treats and chew bones. Our club also has a dog-related gift exchange. I can’t wait to se what I/we get!
December 10th, 2010 at 10:48 pm
I got Maple some more treats and agility jumps
Iv always wanted one of those sets for my rats hehe.
December 10th, 2010 at 11:54 pm
Both of my Cockers (Sarah & Vicki) don’t play with toys so it’s a little harder to find them something for Christmas.
This year, they are both getting pillows for their crate.
Of course, I might just find something at the Crown Classic dog show at the IX Center in Cleveland, Ohio(December 16-19).
December 11th, 2010 at 12:25 am
My three girls always get Christmas gifts even if they have been bad. We wrap the gifts and put name tags on each and let them have fun opening their presents. So far this Christmas we had gotten them a new bed for the living room, a set of channel weaves (these won’t be wrapped), some new toys, new agility slip lead and of course some treats. I hope they don’t log on to this site and spoil their Christmas surprise.
December 11th, 2010 at 6:06 am
My 3 border collies are getting a kicksled for christmas.
New harnesses and everything it takes to pull the sled. This will be our winter time activity to stay in shape for the summer agility months.
December 11th, 2010 at 10:41 am

December 11th, 2010 at 10:59 am
We have a collie who I’ve been trying to do agility with. He loves the weave poles and jumps, so he’s getting some jumps to put in the back yard. Our bernese mountain dogs love agility as well. But all of them are getting HUGE roasted beef bones to chew on all day on Christmas as well as new toys and more treats for training.
December 11th, 2010 at 11:43 am
My 2 girls are getting mostly new stuffy toys for Christmas, along with some big bully sticks for a special night of chewing! I still haven’t decided if I can afford it yet or not, but I may buy them a new agility tunnel. I’ve been wanting one forever but have so far not taken the plunge into buying one. Because of limited finances, all of my other agility equipment is homemade (you can do a lot of training with hoops, jumps, gates, weaves and a small dog-walk!), but you can’t homemake a tunnel!
December 11th, 2010 at 2:27 pm
12/11/10 Saturday
My dog wants “Test you Doggie IQ Game” for Christmas to exercise her mind. She also wants a set of
hoopers and a conditioning ladder to exercise her body
during the cold winter season in preparation of the upcoming 2011 Agility Trials. Can’t wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dog will be getting chews, and a couple of new toys, and some homemade dog treats
December 15th, 2010 at 10:26 am
My husband and I are getting our three rescued terriers Bindi, Cody, and Terra those puzzles that encourage your dog to search for a treat and solve the puzzles. They are very active, Cody is a Jack Russell mix and is highly active and extremely bright. We want to challenge them…keep their puppy brains stimulated. Along with that we are planning to expand their little agility course we are making at home, they have a tunnel and a jump, soon we will add the weave poles. They are a blast! sharon empson Cody-3yrs. bindi 4 years, Terra 2 years. thank you
December 16th, 2010 at 6:33 pm
Sophie tells me that for Christmas she would like a bigger yard to practice agility in so she can get some more equipment. She also suggested to me that my New Year’s resolution should be to stay home and play with her more/work less, and to go to more trials because they are big fun.
December 16th, 2010 at 7:31 pm
My two beautiful Malinois dogs, Mac and Gigi will (hopefully) be getting 4 new puppy playmates for Christmas! I recently became an approved “foster” home for the Belgian Malinois rescue organization and was asked to take a litter of new puppies (3 girls and 1 boy). Gigi has two titles in agility and Mac has a Rally Novice Title. Hoping to introduce the new puppies to beginning agility while they are with me!
December 16th, 2010 at 8:05 pm
Our shelties will get treats and toys…and maybe a little brother (a rescued collie mix). Shh, dad doesn’t know yet.
December 17th, 2010 at 1:44 am
My dogs will be getting some disgusting cow foots, aka the Merrick’s stuffed double hoof. They got a panel jump as an early Xmas present. Oh, and all my training equipment is stored in garbage cans in the living room…
December 17th, 2010 at 3:32 am
My four rescued Shelties are getting new beds, an interactive treat ball toy, and a FitPaws Peanut (stability ball) to work on their conditioning and balance over the winter. I also bought them some thick curly bully sticks for a day of Christmas chewing. My youngest boy would like his own herd of sheep, but for now we’ll have to settle for the stuffed one at home and the real ones at the training farm.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! Hug your dogs!
December 17th, 2010 at 8:36 am
We have four dogs; two registered Boston Terriers, Caitlin and Duke, and two rescue dogs–a Boston mix, Sadie, and a Pomeranian, Scarlett. They are enjoying activities at our local dog club; two attended a recent TDAA trial, two attended the annual dog club Christmas party and our oldest who is retired from agility attended the agility party and was thrilled to get to run a course of weaves and tunnels again! They all share and share alike. The two that attended the Christmas dog club party received treats and toys in the doggie gift exchange. But, I believe they are all asking for new comfy doggie beds for relaxing times on the hardwood floors of our family room in the evenings. They have all been very good pups and I’m sure Santa will probably come through with beds and perhaps even a few treats in stockings!
December 17th, 2010 at 8:41 am
My 4 pups want treats, then more treats, did I mention treats? And they asked Santa that I spend as many waking hours with them playing and hanging out as possible. They are getting new harnesses and many toys and they may also get a tunnel to fly through!
December 17th, 2010 at 9:02 am
My pooches love interactive toys so we got the new Vibram Acorn to stash some yummy treats in for fun. Of course they will get plenty of treats and we got a Pre-Christmas loofa dog toy that is now pretty much de-stuffed and looking like one of those flatty things but he still has some stuffing left in the head part. That job was compliments of Kairo the kelpie. Going to Petco with the rescue this Saturday so I am sure I will find more goodies to buy!
December 17th, 2010 at 9:30 am
Santa will be visiting my two dogs. He will be bringing them various raw hide, bully sticks and treats, (not to be consumed all at once). They will also find new nylabones and some unstuffies. The people members of the family will provide the love and companionship that my dogs freely give to us every day of the year. Merry Christmas to one and all.
December 17th, 2010 at 9:51 am
Here’s the christmas list from my dogs:
Pip (22 month JRT): Electronic chipmunk finder. Steam shovel to dig same from rocky ground.
Biscuit(7 year old JRT): water colors and easel. Biscuit feels she needs to take up a stress relieving hobby in anticipation of having to deal with Pip and his soon-to-be upgraded chipmunk hunting strategy.
Jane (15 year old JRT): Bose noise eliminating earphones to provide her with uninterupted naps when Pip is pursuing his avocation.
December 17th, 2010 at 10:19 am
My 4 yr old dog Zeus got elbow surgery for Christmas so he will hopefully be able to compete again. We will have to wait and see. At least he will be pain free for Christmas.
December 17th, 2010 at 1:29 pm
The Breyers kits are too cute. Wish I had seen those for exchange gifts at various dog activities. One aussie is patiently waiting to start agility in January, meanwhile she is busy chasing sheep-a nice Christmas activity. One aussie got a new bed and a travel teeter-loves her teeter; the bed not so much. The other aussie got a new puppy to play with-LOL. The puppy (a catahoula/corgi mix) just tortures him. Of course, they all get new toys.
December 18th, 2010 at 7:28 am
My two cockers (Toby and Teddy) love food, so they will be getting lots of treats and bones to chew on. Teddy will be getting a new bed for his crate and my Toby likes to cuddle and be covered up, so he will be getting a warm fleese blanket. Toby likes to open presents, which has been a challenge to keep him away from the ones under the tree already. Teddy hasn’t quite figured everything out yet, but I’m sure Toby will show him what to do come Christmas. Ha! Ha! Merry Christmas, everyone.
December 18th, 2010 at 10:30 pm
I asked Bueller what he wanted and he said he would like a huge basket of things that he can chew on without getting into trouble.
December 19th, 2010 at 1:32 am
Wunder, my Doberman, wants a tornado game and some Z*Filets, chicken strips. She would also like more snuggle time with Mom.
December 21st, 2010 at 6:00 pm
My Alaskan Klee Kai, Mochi, wished for her own Agility Equipment! If she doesn’t get that, she’d be happy with the ability to catch every squirrel and pidgeon too!!
December 22nd, 2010 at 4:39 pm
Voodoo asked for lots of toys and yummy treats and a new tugtoy for agility trials. Her stocking is stuffed ready for Christmas morning. We have her toys and chews wrapped waiting for her to open. She loves to open the presents and even likes to help wrap, although we don’t let her help with hers. lol She is full of life and personality. We are truly blessed to have her in our lives, we adopted her 2 years ago this month from a local Shelter! She is just an awesome girl!
Merry Christmas EVERYONE!
December 24th, 2010 at 7:27 pm
Tippy, Jeep and Pal are getting lots of store bought treats and some homemade ones from me. They’re really just happy to have all the extra treats around the house, because if they’re available, Dad hands them out more freely than Mom. They’ll each get a toy that they can destroy/play with for awhile, and I got one of the new Nina Ottosson toys for all of them to get a little education on. They also got another giant fluffy bed to share with the kitties, and a soft blanket for when they decide to share the couch with me.
December 26th, 2010 at 10:20 am
Bree and Tagg, English springer spaniels who are new to agility, received bungee tug toys!
November 10th, 2011 at 1:06 pm
Skyy, my Blue Merle Sheltie is the Agility dog. She’s getting a set of weave poles to set up indoors, since it’s gotten too cold for outdoor Frizbee. The weave poles are to help wear off the extra calories from the turkey leg rawhides, candy cane rawhide basket, Christmas stuffie and doggie IQ game that she’s going to have to share with Harry, the miniature Schnauzer. I, myself, would LOVE the Breyer Dog Agility Set! I’ve been good…really. We do our Agility every week and Skyy competed in her first Trial, Novice Open, on Octber 1st.
December 4th, 2011 at 6:57 am
I just ordered a bunch of agility equipment because we do have the room. I got things my husband can’t build for me and our two agility dogs — a Miniature Schnauzer and a Bearded Collie.
December 30th, 2011 at 4:05 pm
My best bud got a teeter base, which will not be finished til spring, since we plan on preparing the board ourselves! No worrys though, he still got his ultimate favorite! A mini sized soft volleyball(slightly deflated, to last longer)and we can play indoors when the weather is nasty! Happy Hollidays!
